As part of the portfolio activity we will examine technologies that encompass enhancing existing technologies in areas such as 3G and develop new technologies for 4G. Immersive presence and augmented reality will be the areas focused on for the mid-to long-term reseach. The navigation and interaction with information over the fixed and more importantly wireless networks, including the Interent will be a key part of this programme. This will help to make the man-machine interface a more enjoyable experience.
