The second shot consisted of a sequence of rotating head movements. The subject was asked to rotate his/her head from the centre to the left, to the right, then up, then down, finally returning it to the centre. They were told that a full side-profile was required and asked to run through the entire sequence twice. The images below show selected frames from this sequence. This sequence was kept constant for all four sessions.

A set of side-profile images are available to purchase on 4 CDROMS. These consist of one left-profile and one right profile image per person, per session, a total of 2,360 images. The images are stored in colour PPM format and at resolution 720x576.

Also available are a set of front profile images, 1 image per subject per session, 1,180 images in total. These come stored onto 2 CDROMS.
